Found this yesterday in my change from Home Depot why doesn't this year have a mint mark on it ? 1968 Lincoln

no mint mark means it was made in Philadelphia. Philly has only put a mint mark on a Lincoln Cent one time: in 2017 to celebrate their 225th anniversary of operation.

While it doesn't make a difference on this coin, also remember that no coins minted in '65, '66 or '67 have mint marks. There was a coin shortage so they didn't use mint marks to discourage hoarding and collecting. No Uncirculated or Proof sets were produced during this time, but the mint did offer Special Mint Sets also known as SMS.
