Someone told me to post pic's of coins to get opinions on grades. So I will be posting 3 or 4 coins just to see. I did notice they weren't as bright as the actual coins, but someone said a shiny coin isn't always a high grade guarantee. trying to get some grading tips. Thanks for your help in advance!

"US Modern Coin Grading" would be the correct category. I see this as no less than AU-58, possibly as high as MS-63.

I can't see a definite rub in this photo so will say low end MS-64.

It is the tougher type "d" reverse which increases the chance it has a rub and is only AU. Almost all the '83-D quarters that went into privately made sets and all the souvenir sets have the type "c". Many of this date were pulled from circulation after May of 1985 when Numismatic News announced they were scarce in BU. Most of these have a rub.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Coinfrog I don't see a section titled US Modern Coin Grading. I may be a little blind though so could you tell me what heading it's under. I see a third party grading section, but it's about grading companies. Also is there a way to move my post to the right section? Thanks everyone for your insights.

Cladking I am not sure what you mean when you say this is a type "D" reverse not a type "C". Can you explain more or point me somewhere I can read up on it? Thanks everyone for your time and help.
