I don't know what smashed it, but it was smashed up against a penny. It's just neat.

You see "neat", we see a deliberately badly damaged coin that now has zero numismatic value. Such as shame.

Most of the time they will use three coins in a vise, to avoid the the vise lines.

Yeah, you do have a point there. I saw a coin that isn't like the others and I took to it, but you're right. Poor dime. I use to get sad when I saw people making jewelry or charms out of coins too.
