Virtually No Reeded Edge 1921 D Morgan Silver Dollar, Fake?

The coin's edge is virtually smooth with only traces of reed showing. Coin weighs 26.77, is the correct diameter, and is not magnetic. Report this Post to the Staff

Your's appears genuine. I believe the lack of stronger reeding was due to the collar being loose as it was struck. I've seen this multiple times on modern clad-coinage. Or so these are my thoughts. The edge seems to be rounded up over the rim and although the pics are too blurry, there seem to be numerous slightly flatter areas, indicating someone whacking away at it. sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21786 Posts	Posted 09/21/2020 02:54 am I have seen quite a few Aussie CuNi 10 Cents coins of the early 1980's issued into circulation, with very weak milling. Common at the time. This is the first Morgan I have seen with this feature. Weight is OK. I tend to agree that the milling has been interfered with in some way.
