Great photo. Can you add the entire coin? There also looks to be a die chip between the columns in addition to the die crack.

Yes, appears to be a very small Cud. Probably no real value for one this small, but a nice find.

@josephm99 I don't believe that is a grease error. As I understand, that weakness in the strike on "STATES" is caused by the fact that it's on the rim of the coin and the deepest recess of the die is located directly opposite (base of the bust). The planchet "retreats" into the deep area on the other die, and the strike on STATES comes out weak.

I agree that it looks like a Cud, but could you please confirm that it cannot be depressed with the tip of a wooden toothpick? Thx.

I'm leaning more to a die crack/chip. On a Cud the affected area is higher than the rim because the gutter on the outside of the die breaks off.
