Quote:I just got an advertisement for 2021 CC Morgan dollars. They're MS-70 graded by PCGS! Available now!! If you buy 2 you get 10% off. I'm almost tempted to buy one to see what (if anything) would come back. Quote: Oops, forgot some vital information....they're selling for $19.95. I don't know how you can go wrong! Ummmmm They cost $85 from the US Mint They won't ship till October Which means no one has them yet. So how can they be selling for $19.95 if they aren't yet available? But I digress, please buy them and post some pictures.

Quote: order status shows backorder,do you guys, know what dose this mean? Since these are not going to ship till Oct 15 or November 15, the status changes to backorder. As soon as the coins are available the status will change to shipped once they are shipped. Backorder means that the order has been checked and as of the date it was checked its good to be shipped. They will submit the final CC charge once they are shipped.

Not sure if this the right area but it pertains to what many people thought about the sales of the Morgan and Peace dollar. Coin World had an article dated August 16, 2021 stating the inspector general inside the Treasury department may look into sales practices and I'm assuming collusion with the mint and outside buyers. This will be very interesting going forward. It also could take many years to investigate. [ https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-c...nvestigation]

Be careful what you wish for, the likely result is higher Mint pricing ... also, coin collecting is hardly a necessary thing ...

Allowing departments of the federal government to structure deals to preferred groups is very shady and needs to be opened for all to see. These deals are already costing collectors with higher prices. It's putting more product into the hands of groups whose business is to sell a much higher prices.

I placed two orders the morning the peace and Philadelphia Morgan was offered. I received confirmation emails for both about 12 hours after. My earlier order that consisted of 3 Peace dollars and 2 Philadelphia Morgan's is still showing as "processing". The second order of 1 Philadelphia Morgan shows as "back ordered". Any idea the first would show as processing after getting a confirmation email?

If you look above a few posts I noticed the same thing with my 4th order as I was supposed to get free shipping. That one stayed in processing for over a week. It's probably the same for you.

My latest morgan/peace order still says 'processing' so does my 2021-S ASE...

I see this addressed in this thread, but didn't see an answer. I have a question about US Mint status that I can't find anywhere on their site... what is the difference between "Backorder" and "Processing" I have a confirmed order for the Philadelphia Morgan dollar that says it's "Processing"? Shouldn't this have already changed to 'backorder'? Every other Morgan order and my Proof ASE S shows, "Backorder".

From my experience, when it says processing, typically it means they're working on fulfilling the order. However, it could also very well be a catch-all to indicate you have an order in with a quantity allotted to you that hasn't shipped yet.
All 3 of my orders say Back Order FWIW.
