With the 1 Corona of the type pictured,
uncirculated or close to it is the most common condition in which I have found these coins in dealers junk boxes.
I suspect that most of those coins now in Australia came here in the pockets of migrants after WW2.
I am guessing that that due to war conditions, despite the fact that many were issued, they were mostly hoarded.
Subsequent economic conditions in Austria were such that they continued to be hoarded for decades, and only a small proportion of them were surrendered for melting until after WW2.
