Some heavy cuts, I'd say MS-62. I don't see a problem with authenticity.

I would say MS62 is where it would fall with a slight chance MS63. It has a few hits in the cheek area with just a hint of a weakness in the breast area of the eagle. If buying this coin, I definitely would go upwards in the $250-$275 Range which is full blown retail PCGS Guide. That would be a fair assessment based on what I see here. Overall it has nice enough eye appeal. Also, there are some die clashes going on with this example. It could be a Top 100 type VAM? You may want to check VamWorld and do your own detective work to see what VAM this may fall into. Vamworld link is here: http://www.vamworld.com/wiki/1882-CC_VAMsGood luck in your endeavor as Vams are not the easiest to pinpoint. It definitely looks to be a goody IMHO. Bottom Line: Love to have this coin in my Collection

typical above average strike for this year but the breast is a tad light. nice amount of luster remaining. all the little dings in key areas are a little distracting. still a nice coin. MS63

May technically be a 63 but the location of the cuts are the worst spot. Location matters and drops this to MS-62 for me.
