to the CCF! Can you post full images of both sides of the coin? I see the earlobe is different, I just want to see at least the full obverse.

Wow. This is not a coin. Do you have the weight and diameter of this item? So many details are wrong on this "coin" starting with the hair, ear/jaw and maybe a few dozen others on both sides. It's not even good enough to be called a counterfeit. Depending on the size, it may be a coaster. I got a set of US coin coasters about 10 years ago that had a $20 gold piece, Peace dollar, Kennedy half, Buffalo nickel, Mercury dime and even a 1909-S VDB cent. I think this may be from the same set. These aren't even good coasters as the condensation from your cold drink makes them stick to the bottom of the glass. Then as you go to take a drink, they fall off and break your toes.

It's not a real Kennedy half. It could be a novelty coin or a really poor counterfeit done for unknown reasons. Could you do a side by side image with a normal Kennedy half?

There have been so many hub changes done to the half dollar, the side by side needs to be done with one of the same date. That 1997 and the 1973 are from two different master hubs designs.

I wonder it this could have been a coin that escaped from the recyclers that were scamming the US "Mutilated Coin Redemption Program" from the early 2010's? Here's an article. https://www.nj.com/news/2015/03/fed..._of_54m.html"Among the tip-offs for investigators was the number of half dollars coming in from China for redemption outpaced the total the U.S. Mint has made, they say."

"'Interestingly, United States Mint personnel also believe that more half dollars have been redeemed by China-sourced vendors in the last 10 years than the United States Mint has ever manufactured in its history,' according to a forfeiture complaint..."
Sounds exaggerated. The mint has produced billions of halves.
"I've worked out a few statistics of my own. Fifiteen billion dollars in halves weighs 10,500 tons. Sixty men would take twelve days to load it onto 200 trucks. Now, at the most, you're going to have two hours before the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines move in and make you put it back. "
