Looked on internet and it does not match the one that says FABIUS....clearly this one has FABIOUS and the dates are circling the bust and not beside it. This is what I could find from smithsonian. oriole Pillar of the Community Canada 5239 Posts	Posted 10/04/2020 6:25 pm I assume that the Fabius refers to Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus, and the similarity of Washington's strategy to his. My guess is that "Fabious" was used because the makers were simply sloppy. There were probably hundreds of medals honouring Washington, and some were simply cheaply and sloppily made.
