I got two bags of Eisenhower dollars from bank so I took them they said they had to count them by hand as coin machine will not take those big coins. I do not know how available or valuable these coins are any ideas?

I was always told it all depends on grade. And a coin machine really damages the coin. But I'm no expert. My dad was the coin guy.

Certainly $1 each at a minimum.
But there are some that are silver clads (like the silver clad half dollars), so you need to check for them.
And there are a few varieties that you should check for.
I don't know how to ID them but someone will be by to help you with that.

They are worth a few cents over face value for general bulk. But there are alot of groups that dedicate themselves to finding errors or known clash marks. If you go to ike group they have a huge forum including any known valuable errors. So look at them first and then figure out if you want to keep them or not.

Generally speaking they sell for $1.10-1.50 each. Then if there are any errors or varieties or high grades the value goes up. Milestone coming up,contest time with an IKE as a prize?

Uncirculated coins wholesale at 3 to $4 per coin now days. Circulated coins can wholesale as high as about $1.30 but they need to be nice.

You have nothing to loose by selling them on ebay for a little over $1 each.

I assume you mean just the eleven proof coins then.

The first thing I would do is search them for Morgan or Peace dollars.

Is that common, i.e., to find Peace or Morgan dollars mixed in at banks? I just assumed if I asked for a roll/bag, they would give me the present day dollar coin, like SBA or after. Or does one have to ask for Ike and then hope there is older mixed in?

I occasionally get half dollar rolls; did get one Franklin and a Kennedy or two with silver. But haven't tried with dollars, and have gotten really in to Eisenhower lately. Thanks!

Spend them at the store and see the teenage counter person hand it back to you stating"...we don't take foreign coins"
