I just bought the Littleton green album with clear insets for Buffalo nickels from Wizard. My Jefferson is a Dansco. Aside from price difference, is there any noticeable between the two? Just curious.

Both good for housing sets of coins with low individual value.

I don't like albums where you press the coin into a recess.
-If you are not careful, fingerprinting can result.
-Coins can be exposed to differential toning

I don't like albums where the coin is housed between two clear acrylic slide sheets.
-if there is dust between the coin and the acrylic slide sheet, the coin can get hairlined.

I have used both Littleton and Dancso in the past, but not anymore.

Better to go up market a bit, and buy albums with pocket album pages that are made from acrylic, polypropylene or Mylar. OK to store high individual value coins together with lower valued coins with this approach. Coins can also be fully described on a 2x2.
-disadvantage: it looks messier (especially with my hand wrighting!).

Thanks guys. I should have mentioned the album in question was for a circulation set, some in au, but with a complete series in mind. For that purpose the Littleton will serve well. As mentioned, this is my first personal experience with them and looking for opinions good or bad. Dansco has the advantage as being more book like as appose to that of a three-ring binder with Littleton. As for my higher grade coins, Air-tites in binder pages.

I prefer Whitman Albums but also I have some Dansco, Littleton and a few others. I'm not particular since they are all basically the same except for color. So many people go by the color then simply hide them away. Makes no Cents.
