Picked this up for $19.40. Not a bad coin, and a nice addition to my error collection. Unfortunately there is Verdi or something green on many parts of the coin but oh well. Doesn't look so green in hand. Here's a link to the original listing:

Nice pick up! You going to get it slabbed?

A little acetone and verdi-care might help it.

Is acetone safe to use on zinc and copper? I have some and I can use it, but I thought it wasn't safe to use on zinc and copper.

Very nice ragged clip.
Acetone won't damage your coin but it wont do anything for the verdi. I've had limited success with hydrogen peroxide (and some people will warm it up for soaking coins).

We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Ok, thanks Petespockets55. I might try the acetone anyways, just to see if I can remove anything from it.

I was the underbidder on that one. Still think you got it for a great price as I wasn't really going high on it. Excellent example.

Acetone will basically remove any grime or hand/finger oil. Try Verdi-care if you have it or can find it.

I don't have Verdicare unfortunately, and it doesn't seem to be sold anywhere. Wish I did, but I'll find it someday.
