I cant find any good info about quarters with no mint mark. Also this quarter weighs 5.4. Help, what's up with this quarter. Thank you

Look up 1979P Washington quarter on google. Also mookie if you have a smartphone download the CoinFacts app.

Looks like a vending machine removed the 'D' (No 'P' mints that year, started the following year in 1980.) from that area. Note the reduction on all devices in the same distance from the rim.

Coin wrapper damage is slightly closer to the center of the coin, than the vending machine damage.

That's so strange. Theres no sign that there was a D there. And I see what your saying and that's definetly possible and it's no spring chicken either
