there is way too many things going on with this coin,, even if , and I say if it was a nickel struck on a cent, there is multiple strikes, and different angles, I think this may be a soft die strike..experiment. based on the photos..

a very long shot would be a trial test strike, where the mint through a coin in there and hit it a couple of times..
