This coin is in bad shape. What is the name for this? Is this a collectable piece or NAV. Thanks for your help.

Not a bad die, just a VERY worn one.
Or excessive wear.

My gut says extreme circulation flattening but I could be wrong. Date appears to be a 1928.

Given that the rim is still reasonably intact , I would also say very very worn dies. I think that's about the worst I've seen on a LWC.

Would have been cool to see this one the day it left the mint.

That rolled over rim makes me think that this cent spent some time as a Dryer Coin.

definitely has the look of a Dryer Coin. No numismatic value I'm afraid.

This is more than a worn die. A Dryer Coin is all I can think of.
