Found this 89 D Washington quarter, and what looks like a re-punched mint mark. I looked it up and the one on variety vista and it looks pretty spot on....but ...I always think that. What do you all think? As always, thank you for your time.

There cant be any RPMs on years after 1987 because they went from a manual punch to a mechanical one. This is a perfect example of Mechanical Doubling. Is not worth anything.

RPMS are possible on 1989s, the cut off date is 1990, not 1987.
Your coin looks more like MD. It is definitely not RPM-001, mintmark location is way off.

I agree with tanman, Rpms are from 1989 and below.

with the above assessments, but keep this one for a good comparison piece to come back to and study. Side by side comparisons are great for ID'ing a real RPM.

I agree that it's Machine Doubling on the mintmark. You can see the reduction in size of the Mint Mark and it's shelflike in appearance. Machine Doubling doesn't carry any premium because it's way too common. Still a keeper for future reference.
Errers and Varietys.

Hello, I'm new to this whole actually talking in the coin community and trying to get out there more. Always just collected. I pulled this coin from a mint set a few years ago. I didn't know I'd this would help the case that there can be RPMs.
