Looks like a RIDB. A very strong example.

I don't see a 1970-D listed.

Thanks MOS0239, I thought that as well. I contacted " Cuds on coins" and this is apparently not large enough? 4 sq mm is the requirement which this could easily cover if it was spread out but its too lumped together. Thickness should be factored in too I would think but hard to measure that I guess.

I just took some better photos showing a hard to see SW flap off the central break. Must be close to the required 4 sq mm needed. Any rule of thumb for eyeballing mm distance on a LMC?

Well, Cuds on Coins is not listing die chips anymore unless they are really unusual. This coin did not make the cut but after securing it in its 2x2 I noticed the chip pushing through window so I thought I would post a photo because I got a kick out of it.
