I think the price was fair but not a steal. It appealed to me that it was not cleaned. There are a ton of this with less wear but so many have been cleaned. I picked up a real nice 1919-D at a local auction earlier this year but it had been cleaned. To me I prefer something with more wear and natural looking. The grading on these sometimes can be really confusing to me. The 1921 for example.... I have seen numerous graded examples with only the last digit "1" showing but still making F-12...I have seen many a VF+ example that are downright ugly. While I understand these should not be graded by the date alone, it seams that the number of digits has a heavy influence and this coin appears to have more date then typical for something in the "G" range. What I see as interesting is while liberty is flat as a pancake, you can just about discern the edge of the shield against the body. I appreciate the feedback and keep it coming. I do have return privileges for 30 days so we will see once in hand but I thought the seller's pictures were good.
