I found a note that I need to complete a set and it is crisp but has a tellers mark. How much does this degrade the note?

Looks more like staining than a teller's stamp, but either would detract from the value of a note.

Definitely.
The mark on your note is typical for notes coming out of ATMs.

Ok, let me rephrase the question. If a note is graded by PMG to be 53 (about UNC) without the mark. In your opinion what would it be WITH the mark?

I doubt this note is AU 53 as I see a fold by USA in the picture posted and also a soft corner. It might be XF at best, would need to see a full picture. The stain would probably give you a NET score with a detail of stain.

That grade is an arbitrary number and that is NOT the note in question.

Unless rare, I always advise collectors to steer clear of problem notes.
