Forgot to add: I included page 16 at the beginning of halfpennies, part 1, even though it's blank, so if you put the PDF in 2-page view you can view the pages as they were originally printed - the "Look what I've found" on the left then the variety drawings on the right.

I just got off the phone with Frank Zapushek of Baker Nusmismatics he is the person who did the USA section
He is going to look at what has been posted and if he sees any images that we need to replace that he has, he will be more than happy to supply them
It looks like this project is finally coming together.
Thanks to all of you for your patience and assistance in bringing a book back to life.

That's awesome, Richard! I can re-do any of these PDF's to include any images he provides.

It's been my pleasure PM replied, Nancy. I'll be out of town for the weekend, but do let me know either here or via pm who would like a cd and/or printed copy, and I'll get to work on those when I get back.

GREAT NEWS! As you are all aware from previous posts, our marvelous member, xshift has located an original copy of this book and has scanned it and is prepared to burn it to CD for anyone that wants a copy. It will also be available in PDF if you prefer. I'm prepared to have all CD versions for Aussie residents sent to me and I'll on forward them at my expense. This should keep Renee's cost for shipping to Australia to a minimum. I've sent her a contribution towards her original cost of the book which was USD$140.00, plus shipping from Australia to the US. These books originally sold for AU$40.00 when they were published back in 2000. I believe there was just one print run of either 100 or 200 copies, so they're pretty scarce. If you'd like a copy, please indicate your preferred version and either: 1 - Post your order here 2 - PM me 3 - PM xshift Do NOT advise your postal details here! Either send them to xshift, or to me via PM. A contribution to xshift towards her costs would certainly be appreciated, but is not conditional on your eligibility to participate in this offer. Renee has very generously offered the original version of the Book as a gift to the Author's son, John Byrnes. If you'd like to know what the book contains, a Book review from April 2000, by Ian McConnolly can be read here: http://www.vision.net.au/~pwood/april2000.htmscroll down to VARIETIES Ian's Book Review.

Sean, Thanks very much for the offer but I've got a roll on order from VPCoins. I'll be opening it too & sending coins here & there. I might even need 2 rolls if I send 2 to each person I want to include.

Wow what a great offer! I haven't been on 'the forum' for a while (not that I haven't wanted to but I've been busy, new baby and writing my PhD thesis etc etc) and I see things like the generosity (and hard work) contained within this tread. This is what makes the forum great and why I've missed it and have come back! Anyway...... xshift a PM is on the way and thanks for all the effort you have put in . Great work as well Nancy (as always).
