SIDE NOTE: a very good diagnostic for a variety is mintmark placement. recommend on future postings, have a close up with the date and mintmark (not at an angle either). thanks Report this Post to the Staff

The more you view coins from that year, you will see examples of a lot of mintmarks that looked like that, that year. https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...mages/146036 Scroll down through these and you will see several of the mintmarks look just like your coin.
