to the CCF! It appears to be a parking lot cent. Post strike damage. It never left the mint in that shape.

Or a worked over coin in a garage. Damage is not a mint error. It is after it has left the building event.

to the CCF!

I'd like to see a full image of the obverse, but I think this is intentional damage from a stiff wire brush chucked up in a drill. It cut a deep circular pattern into the metal and folded the edges over as well. (Just my guess from what I see.)
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

it's just damage and it looks like it is possibly a 1965. I believe I can see that the last digit of the date is a 5 and since this is a memorial copper it would have to be either a 1965 or a 1975. The third digit of the date doesn't look like it could be a 7 so it's probably a 1965. Only philadelphia made cents that year and there were no major varieties to make this coin valuable.
