I'm not sure if I'm seeing a 5 and a second 5 or not, just wondering what everyone else thinks. Also, on the reverse side is there a struck thru grease error or just wear? Thanks in advance!

99% of the incuse marks on coins is damage to the coin in circulation and deliberate damage. Just 1% of the incuse marks on a coin is an error.

Both obverse marks appear to just be hits, PMD.

Could be a bit of a Grease Fill there, but it's minimal. Grease filled dies/struck through grease are relatively common, and need to be pretty extreme/well placed to carry a premium. Given the overall condition, and the minimal Greaser, it's a spender in my book.

@molly, can you please clarify whether this region of interest above IGWT is above or below the rest of the surface of the coin? I can't tell from these pics. Thx.

I found another 'P' on your coin

1988-P-Quarter-With-Second-P-And-A-5-With-Possible-Struck-Thru-Grease?

But on the serious note, as mentioned above, all look alike letters you see are result of circulation damage, taken hits.
