Ok - after some great education about my off center and Uniface LMC's - I am feeling a little better about labeling these as off center broadstrikes.

I agree. Did you get these in a box of rolled coin?

No - I wish I did! I picked them up at an estate auction yesterday. Thought they were cool looking. Got a total of 12 of them.

Minor wording thing: These are uncentered broadstrikes, not off center broadstrikes. The wording "off center broadstrike" isn't used, likely to just avoid confusion as would that make it an off center, or a broadstrike? Best to use "uncentered broadstrike".

What would you consider a Centered Broadstrike to be? I think a couple of the coins above are what I would call centered broadstrikes.

Edit: Upon further study, I think all of these coins are centered broadstrikes. The full image from the face of each die used to strike them is visible with no abundance of metal to one side of the coin or the other. I will say that this post has made me look at centered, uncentered and off center strikes in a new light. Thanks for posting!

True. I just gave a look at broadstrike vs off center and didn't look much at the centering. Nickels aren't my thing but agree some do look more centered than uncentered.
