This is probably my favorite Washington quarter in my collection. I took multiple pics because I don't think they do it justice when holding it in hand. The reverse has reflective finger feeder marks at 10 and 1 o'clock so it may look different. Let me know what you guys think.

Yes, a nice quarter, but eventually it will have fingerprints if you continue to touch it. High quality favorites deserve protection IMO.

I would grade it as MS-63. Beautiful coin. I also have a mint state 1964 quarter. Mine's blast white without that nice toning though.

I agree with you too, nick I'm very careful in not touching the surfaces and know the reasons, but if I'm holding a camera in my good hand, I feel much more comfortable gripping the edges raw with my other hand as opposed to not being confident in the grip if there's an added layer in between, and probably dropping it. Which I usually do.

Use a padded surface under the coin. I prefer a dish-drying mat (just remember to buy one specifically for use with coins, and do NOT use it for dishes).

I'm at MS-64 on this one. There are many hits and nicks on the obverse, reverse, and rims. I'm also concerned about the strip of toning on the obverse from 10:00 - 2:00. Could be the photos but it has the appearance of tape residue. Hopefully I'm wrong.

That being said, the luster looks strong and the toning is pleasing, so overall a pretty nice coin! As others have mentioned, it definitely is 2x2 worthy. Also for future reference, please crop your photos to just the coin.
