1982.what happened to the 2? also I put 2 pictures of a 1973 , just to see what it might be also. you wont miss it!

Yeah--what's up with the '73? Was something struck into the coin that fell out?
The 1982 is very interesting too. That extra loop in the 2 doesn't look like post-mint damage to me--die gouge perhaps?

Post mint damage. More than likely occurred in a "coin star counter" or similar machine. The metal from the top of the 2 digit has been sliced off and deposited and pushed into the 2's upper curve, giving it the appearance of doubling.
