To me it looks like the top serif took a hit, but I'm intrigued about what appears to be doubling south of the mintmark. That could be MD. I'm interested to see what others think.

It does look like a well placed hit...?
MD usually has signs of other MD on the devices as well...
With a coin in that condition...and none of the other reference sites has a listing for it...I usually just move on and keep looking...
