cladking Pillar of the Community United States 2271 Posts	Posted 11/01/2020 11:06 pm The coin has been damaged perhaps in auto wrecking equipment and then "repaired" so it can circulate. It's still easier to repair coins than redeem them but of course few people are willing to learn how and spend a few seconds with a ball peen hammer to do it. Most will end up ibn the trash. Some of those in the trash will be incinerated and trucked to New York for redemption. Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps. Report this Post to the Staff

In the Coin World, a defect would be called an error. A coin is not printed, it's minted. Paper currency is printed. As my colleagues have stated, your coin is damaged but still worth 10 cents.
