Also affects the outsides of the devices by flattening the contour of the devices on that side of the coin. (In a direction)

Note the doubling. Not flat or shelf like. On this one it stands on its down.

Note on this one what the centers of the devices are widened. You can see the different hub setup on this die. Again, the side of the devices are not affected, not flatten and the contour on all sides of the devices are present. Machine Doubling is device altering by the machine. On a doubled die, the doubling is on the die and not caused by the machine. But on a doubled die, you can have Machine Doubling:

Note the doubled date on these 4 coins. Note the yellow arrows. Those are the areas affected by the Machine Doubling. Note that only a single direction is affected. The rest of the doubled dies are normal. But this shows how the Machine Doubling can be different on each strike, or be the same.

I thank you for your help but I don't want to let it go. It's pretty and I like it.
So far, besides a few other random things my entire collection is apparently md and die chips or maybe Cud bumps.
Haven't asked about those yet but that's a topic for another day.

Doubled Die coins are not as common as many think, whereas, Machine Doubling is much more common in comparison.
