Poll Question
Thursday I'll be online ordering the Connecticut reverse-proof, the Innovation proof set and hopefully the 75th Silver ASE. While this would be my first ASE, one I really wish to add to my personal collection, I find myself struggling with a dilemma. Seeing the absurdly high asking prices ahead of the release, should I sell it even though I intend it for personal reasons? I collect coins because of their beauty and history, not for profit.

 Keep

Most new issue NCLT values drop sharply after the issue is complete.
Keep if you don't mind a 'paper' value hit.

Your collection, your choice. Hopefully this poll has nothing to do with making your own decision.

Are you asking if "we" plan to keep or sell or whether "you" should keep or sell.

My answer is the same for both, keep.

It may sound as though I've answered my own question, but as mentioned this would be my first ASE. I simply don't find the appeal to collect the series, just a single type set piece or two. Having the privy mark which would make this the first and last of the series seems like the perfect example. Or so in my opinion. I suppose that selling it could be used for one far less in price plus another coin I do collect as a series. You are also correct about it being "mine", yet I value the opinion of others from time to time, and yes I may influence my decision. Thanks people!

IMO, this here is reason enough to keep.

Do I find the price unpalatable? Yes. But I'll be buying one to keep for the reasons you list above.

Less than 15 minutes to go.

going to be worth more than what you paid the mint for it regardless, but if the right opportunity comes along soon, you should likely go for it, and wait a month because I think it will settle around $225-$250, but the first couple weeks you might see some absurd offer of like $600. If that happens, jump on it and don't look back.

then buy it again in a month or two when everyone realizes it's not the mintage of the 2019S ERP, and pocket the change.

Really good advice from B-K if you are motivated to do all the work it takes to flip it and find one later at a lower price. And have the time to do so. My wife already thinks I spend too much time on this hobby so me, I'm just happy to have one and I'll be hanging onto it.

I have to agree, not a bad idea. The net profit would be significant and you would eventually have the coin to keep.
