All the talk of searching halves inspired me to ask if they had rolls at the bank today. Of course they didn't. So I asked for 5 rolls of quarters. Then on the way out, realized that I'd be wading through State Quarters...wish I had gotten dimes.

No offense intended for fans of the State Quarters.

The State Quarter craze also prompted many to start working backwards on the Washington quarters. I am not a roll searcher but I would guess that these are the most picked over of any coins at this point. I search my loose change casually and found fewer pre-1995 coins than pennies, nickels, dimes, etc.

State Quarters are the exact reason why I don't bother with quarters. I know they've done great things for the hobby, but I just feel that they're a nuisance at this point

Well, I haven't even looked at the rolls. Gonna take them back untouched, and trade them in for dimes.

I will check Missouri for for the extra leaf, 82's and 83's, silver obviously, then back into circulation for the rest.

If you are looking for silver, I would recomend not wasting your time on dimes or quarters. Save up $500 and order a box of halves. I and a lot of people on CCF have had great sucess with this. For this reason I have multiple bank accounts. Buy the box of halves from one, search, keep silver, return to another bank for face. I can only think of 1 or 2 boxes that I have searched and not found silver. It's worth my time aleast and the joy is in the journey. Good luck!
