Found this in some cents I'm looking through. There is an obvious die clash in the memorial, which is pretty common but I was interested in what's below that. There is a curvy slightly raised portion of the coin that goes through the O in ONE. Any ideas on what this is? Maybe a die dent? I included an overlay to show that it isn't a normal occurrence for a die clash.

I believe that may be part of the "sunken die" anomaly on the 1973-D Lincoln's that you can see in the memorial of your coin.

Error-Ref has a great page on "Die Subsidence." Take a look at the images at http://www.error-ref.com/?s=die+subsidence

ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
