Again, I'm new to coin collecting so thank you for those who've patiently answered my previous question.

I have this very well loved 1985 D penny that appears to have a grease mark on the back starting at the "T'in states and ending with the "F" if of. Am I correct or is this just wear? I realize the coin it in bad shape so it's probably not worth anything anyways but I'm trying to learn the difference in errors and just getting old...kind of like me!

Thanks,
Karen

Agree, looks like a minor Greaser.

More of a striking issue that often happens on that area. On the opposite side of the coin, the highest area, the bottom of the bust is being formed during the strike. If the planchet is slight light, they maybe a light planchet issue.

Note on this one. Like yours the tops of the devices are present, so it maybe not a Struck Through Grease error, but a slightly light weight planchet. (When the stock is rolled out, the thickness may not always be exactly the same thickness)

Yes, I agree, this is a partial Grease Filled Die. This spot on your coin is the most common area we've seen. No premium I'm afraid, sorry.
