lcutler Pillar of the Community United States 1657 Posts	Posted 11/13/2020 04:52 am That is what is called a spooned coin. It has been repeatedly tapped around the edge flattening it, this used to be done to make a ring out of a coin. There is also a Dryer Coin that is similar, a coin trapped in a commercial dryer for a long period doing similar damage. Dryer Coins usually show more damage on the faces of the coin though, so I would call this one intentionally done. Report this Post to the Staff
