It is a 50 pfenning coin of Germanym third Reich period. It is made of aluminium and was minted in Berlin as can be seen by the mint mark A. the condition of your piece looks like VF (the photos are not very clear unfortunately) The Krause Catalog of World Coins lists this coin as number KM96. The quantity minted was over 29.325 million pieces and the value in VF condition is given as US$ 5 (2011 edition).

Agreed with above identification, although I will add that you would struggle to get a couple of dollars for it - these can still be had out of dealer 'mixed' bowls for under $1.
