Good evening Ladies & Gents,

It has been a long time since being on here, as I've been detecting all year. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

If I could please ask for your expertise on this 1981 P? Quarter and its possible errors? This is not a find of mine, it is another detectorists quarter he recently dug. Thank you for any assistance you can give him. These are the only good pics he sent me. I have a few seconds of video of him turning it over.

Burned in a house fire. The layers separated because of the heat. This happens a lot:

Thanks Coop! That's what we thought too. At the same time, it's a 90 degree rotated on reverse. A good conversation piece either way.
