Hi group, I am an ameteur collector, my name is troy and I just joined this forum. I have this interesting Peace dollar with a curvy line, I think it is a VAM, but not sure, I was researching this variety months ago and seen others with the curvy line but I forgot where I seen them.(I see annother partial curvy line at the base of the hair), Anyways if anyone from the group can give me some insight on this unusual curvy line, that would be great. I think it might be a die crack, LOL !

I don't know anything about VAM's. My first thought is that it was a reed hit from another coin. But after looking at them more closely, they might be some type of lamination.

....and the reverse? You should also take your coins out of the holders before taking pictures.

If you are referring to the curved line at back of neck, below the hair, above T, then you are looking at die crack. Pretty common.
