The first is a US Commemorative Dollar The second is a 1oz silver round. It's a bullion piece not minted by the US Government.

The 1 dollar coin is only worth melt value in it's current condition. About $9.00
Silver is at $9.55 per ounce right now so it's worth melt value

Not sure which one you are talking about Ellis Island Dollar coin had 928,008 minted eBayThe Silver Round was privately minted. They sometimes have collector value a little over spot but most of these styles don't unless they are in UNC condition eBay

The Ellis Island commemorative is a counterfeit. Note the incuse date, reading 1906 instead of 1986.

Officially it'd be called: One Troy Ounce Silver Round - Mercury dime Replica There's lots of other designs used as well

I did miss that Never heard of a common date commemorative being counterfeited. There is a market for collectors for fakes though. I'd hold onto it.

A site for fakes?
I don't know of any off the top of my head. I'm sure someone will be along that can give you a possible history and or value of it though

That Ellis Island is a known Chinese fake/counterfeit/knockoff replica. The Mercury round has the exact same patina so I have serious doubts that it would even be silver. A weight would help in determining that- one troy ounce should weigh 31.1g and I bet that thing weighs about 25g or less which would mean that it is made of base metal(non-precious).

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news and all but at least you now know that it is definitely not silver. How did you acquire these pieces?
