Hi my name is Jay I'm from seattle and I like coins because I'm odd and had questions about coins I found , I do research on my free time so ill try not to sound dumb , but I don't know everything and do have questions but it's more of like how to tell proof fr u.c not because I can't look at youtube videos but more of I just can't really tell the difference so hence I'm here to post coins I have found interesting and keep looking at them cause they look odd and trying to confirm if what I'm seeing is indeed what I'm seeing and I think it's that double die reverse I tried to look up if it's a variety that match any known variety at the moment and didn't see any please understand I'm new
.

[Edit]
Thank you so much for the welcome and sorry for posting in the wrong place I clicked to add this post to the intro section but I think maybe adding my question in my intro is why , also the info on the proof and business strike coins helped a lot I read and watch up on it but it's my eyes that can't see well , so I usually use my camera to look closely at coins I try to just find coins that interest me and if it looks different just wonder about it and also I will look for the Red Book this is one coin I found that interest me and don't know where to find other images but thanks for the welcome I'm not even sure which icon is to save or post new reply

to CCF. Which coin do you think is a proof? Both coins are business strike not proof strike. Not seeing a DDR,split copper plating on the Memorial cent. Get yourself a Red Book and read up on the minting process.

1936 would be the first year with the mirror proofs on the wheat cents.

The 1909-1916 matte proofs has a duller matte, strong design finish:

Business strike compared with a matte proof:

Note how much stronger the design. These are are struck twice. Business strikes are only struck once.

Your coin looks like a nice grade for an uncirculated/AU coin. Images of the obverse would also be helpful.
