Would this 1999 penny be considered a wide "AM"?

The US Mint produced two major varieties of the 1999 Lincoln Memorial cent (Penny). The most common variety for the Philadelphia-minted 1999 is the close "AM" variety. Although the one shown above is the rarer wide "AM" variety for this year and mint.

In the word "AMERICA" on the reverse of the coin: The close "AM" meant that the letters "A" and "M" were very close and almost touching while the wide "AM" had the two letters separated much more. In Addition: The initials "FG" was closer to the Lincoln Memorial Building on the wide "AM" variety and it was further away on the close "AM" variety. The difference between the close "AM" and wide "AM" varieties are shown in the example image below. Click the image to enlarge:

Here's a close-up of the FG. Seems to be the Close "AM" type? Thoughts?

Hmmmm, can't tell now. The AM looks wide but the FG looks far away!

The OP's coin is a normal Close AM. It is not the distance between the AM that makes the difference on the wide/close AM's. It is the location of the 'M'.

The 'M' is centered on the Wide AM. On the Close AM, the 'M' is to the left. The first image shows an off center 'M', so it is not a Wide AM.

The RDV-007 was the current die that was supposed to be used at that time, but they used the from design (RDV-006) for the business strike. The same thing happened on the 1998 and 1999 proof cents. They should have been the RDV-006 dies, but they created the RDV-007 design by mistake:

They should have been the RDV-006 Wide AM design.
On the 1993 designs, they are all three mints using the Close AM, even on the proofs. But starting again in 1994, they proof dies should have been RDV-006 'Wide AMs' going until 2008.

Oh, the M has to be centered. Thanks!
