oldcoach, I haven't counted my Canadian cents but guesstimate around 20 per $50 bag. However, I currently live in Pa, so I'm not "up there"...maybe I'll get my family to save me some Maine pennies so I can see if there's a different mix :)

Only 10 rolls into this box and this is pretty much how it is going. Did pull a 1919 that is not hurt and a 1944D that can be washed up a bit, will never make it into a folder though.

Sure hope every roll is not like this.
Maineman those 20 are a bit more than my average of around 5. Was just wondering if it would be worth it to have my son send me a box of coins as he now resides in Maine.

Wow, it looks like those came out of a damp basement. Can't hurt to give it a try with your son...you can send up to 70 lbs for $10 in those flat rate boxes.I visit at least once a year so I'll just get everybody to save their pennies and bring them back with me.

I have had to soak two different sets of 2 and 3 in carb. cleaner just to be able to get a razor blade between them so they could be separated. Having to goto extremes so that I will be able to run them through a coin counter. On the plus side with these being customer rolls could be some really good finds waiting on me.

I couldn't help but grab another box to burn through today. Results:

8 common wheaties all in VF-XF condition, 2 common Canadians, 405 junk copper pennies, (which completes my 3rd box of them) 6 various date BU coppers

and last but not least...

I had a bank keeping the boxes for a while
I have no idea why
but the head teller would always tell the others to give him the coins but save the box
maybe it was his way to get me o stop coming in?
I would ask them for the box to carry them in
they would always provide me with heavy duty change bags but the boxes are way easier for returning coin in
then the tellers for the most part since they know me now take my word for it that the money is in the boxes
