Buffalo, unless you find an unplated cent in BU condition, there really is no way to determine if it is PMD or not.As penny man pointed out, what it looks like means everything in this case.

I usually search through a box, but today I searched through $25 in CWR; I was quite pleased with my finds: *13 wheats (Oldest was a 1919, but what really caught my eye was a 1932) *One Bermudan hog penny. *8 Canadians (Including a 1952 George VI) *A nice 2010-D shield cent *A red 1960 Memorial cent*A 1 Ngwee coin from Zambia.

Wheaties, BU's, Major DD's, etc... There's a pretty popular Lincoln Cent resource that has some good info on coins to cherrypick. My past couple boxes have been a snooze.

I usually find a few per box. S-mint Wheaties, now those take a few to find... maybe one every other box or so.

I have yet to find a WAM, but pulled a 2004P 1dr-015 ain't much but at least it is something. Had a good run on BU coins from 10.00 of strings wrapped. My box is the shrinked wrapped stuff and the coins are downright filthy. Only decent stuff so far in the box is the copper, even the dates I normally look over are so bad being dumped back in.

Slim pickens this last bag..a 60-D RPM, an 84-D RPM,20 wheats,9 "S" mints, and 28 dimes (coin counter must need some work)...but I did get $18 in copper cents...that's pretty good compared to my last bag with $6 in coppers.

Pulled a 1910-P out of my last box. It was much needed considering I only pulled 3 wheats out of the entire box.

They are TOUGH on the east coast! All I ever really see is the 74S and that's rare. That's not the case for me down here. Out of 12 boxes of pennies I've found (5) 68-S; (7) 69-S; (12) 70-S; (10) 71-S; (3) 72-S; (1) 73-S; and (10) 74-S. Also, another 25 of those dates combined from circulation (either change, or rolls at work).
