You found 2 1915s. Probably coins sent back to the bank after settling an estate.

I had posted a story about my son having been fortunate enough to happen upon a load of wheat cents while roll searching. I thought I'd go ahead and post the results of his efforts here.

When all said and done he probably searched 50 rolls and needless to say he's hooked now.

1909 - 1
1910 - 4
1911 - 4
1913 - 2
1916 - 2
1916D - 1
1917 - 2
1918 - 10
1918D - 1
1919 - 8
1919S - 4
1920 - 7
1920D - 1
1923 - 1
1924 - 3
1925 - 11
1926 - 9
1927 - 3
1928 - 2
1929 - 2
1936 - 2
1939 - 1
1939S - 1

40s & 50s - 136

A pretty good lot for an eight year old boy's collection.

That's awesome! One heck of a haul. I've never found a 1909 LWC. I try to get my daughter interested but she gets bored. Coins just don't compare to Katy Perry!

That is a great haul Watson. I've been averaging about 10 wheats per box and yesterday found a 1920 in F condition.

Maineman the first 2 starfish I found were highly toned in purple, maroon and reds, thought that was the way they were minted to begin with.
You folks are sure doing awesome with the wheaties!!

amida

I can't say I've ever found one either or for that matter any significant number of teens or twenties. I've bought a few bags of wheat cents over the years and have found only on 1909 and it had a hole drilled through it.

I like the one cent from Bahamas with "Patrick" but I just want to know when they will issue a one cent with "Sponge Bob".
