Just recently ran into a rich vein of "S" mint memorials. I'm going to package them up in small flate rate box. Any of our collectors here looking for some "S" mint memorials should email me. So, you guys on the east coast and the midwest, here's your chance before they go on sale.

murrellington:

I'm here in San Diego with you, and I have been averaging 10 wheats per 2500 coin Brinks box for the past 13 months. At 8.52 per box, you're behind the average - but only a bit. Hate to say it, but San Diego is not that good an area for Lincoln Cent roll searchers.

Having said that, I just hit something of a fluke with my last 4 boxes. 87 wheats in 10,000 coins! .87% or almost 22 per box!

You're luck is due to change!

Since I appreciate coppers, I normally don't get to down about few wheats. I feel bad for guys that only want the wheats...

Just went through a $50 bag. Only 23 wheats in there! A big let down, at least, for the wheats! 2 bags ago from the same bank got me 107 wheats in one bag! Still need to go through and sort out the copper and canadians. I did see a couple of 1970 's' mints. Both were in great shape but both were large dates! I just grabbed a couple of handfuls to see if I'm lucky today. NOTHING! I've been wam-free for at least two months now. I'll post any cool finds later in the morning!

A good start! What are you shooting for, i.e. 1982 up or 1959 up?

A high quality 82-up set is TOUGH!! Every one of my coins in my 82-up set is at least MS-64. It took many an obscene number of man-hours and a good bit of cheating by buying and cracking OBW rolls to get there. The 1982 SDC are VERY tough....to name one. GOOD LUCK

Found a Philadelphia Mint token in a roll last night. Struck on a cent planchet and says Uncirculated. I'm thinking they were packaged with mint sets but this is the first one I've seen in circulation by itself?

Ricardocody, I am curious, did you just send the coin in a regular envelope for 44 cents postage. I was just wondering how everybody ships there small trades and purchases.

I sent in 2x2 holder and regular envelope because they are common 98,00 WAM ! Just remember to put some sheet of paper , paper towel etc around the coins so whoever handle the mail ll just think it's a regular letter and won't be curious to open ! But all depends of the value , you can also send in a special envelope with bubble plastic . If you gonna send a key date or so must use a flat sedex envelope !

I don't usually post here but I thought some of you might find this interesting "i hope". The following list is what I found going through three boxes of cents in regards to LMC DDR's a.k.a. bar on columns.
'94-D=bar on column 7
'97-D=on 7
'98=on6
'98=on 7x2
'99-D=7
2000=7x2
'02=6x2
'02=7x5
'03=7x2
'03=6
'04=6x3
'04=7x2
'05=6x4
'05-D=6
'06=6
'06=7x3
'08-D=7
The following have a much larger "bar"
'04=6
'98-D=7
'99=7
'99-D=7
'01=7x2
'02=7x5
'05=6
'05=6 tilted
'06=6 tilted
'06=7x2 column flutes
'06 xtra feet
'04 xtra knees
'04=6
'04=7
'05 double statue
'99 xtra knees major tilt
This is pretty typical for me except I usually find some 2007 too and I don't find many 2008's. Just wanted to share with the family. Thanks for talking the time to read.

Finds from todays $25 bank box of Lincolns today....

A couple of first for me.

1943 Steel cent - really popped out at me - completely rusted!
1926
1927
1935
1941
1944
1945
..and several 50's wheats.

A shazam in the box...1933 Canadian. Really made me do a double take. Also a 1947 Canadian.

What is the consensus - keep the copper seperate or turn back in?
