JangoFett, had a whole box like that awhile back so bad had to soak about a quarter of them in carburetor cleaner just to be able to get them through the coin counter and threw over a hundred in the trash they were so ate up. Looked to me like it was a metal detectors finds.

why wouldn't you just roll the grimy gross coins and give them to the head teller explaining that they needed to be written off tell her you got them to search and they are disgusting I wouldn't have opened them all, even if you found a Wheat penny it would've been gross and a hazard to put with your other pennies just my 2 cents

I'm about to stop box searching because I start to think is not possible anymore to find keys or seamy keys in circulation so now ones on while I get cwr just to try and yesterday I found 6 wheaties In one roll include a 43 war penny plus 3 dimes in separate roll so I think people don't know what to do with their pennies use dimes just fill the rolls so they can disPose them !

I just received .77 back in change from Jersey Mikes and I received two wheat cents. 1926 and a 1957D. This isn't really a roll find but I thought I would share anyway. I was excited!

The people of america (I live there so I would know) are so lazy they will throw out 10 or 20 extra cents just to be able to go to the bank faster. WOW. Whats next... People will put dollar coins in quarter rolls just to fill them.

Quote: oldcoach: Looked to me like it was a metal detectors finds They either look like metal detector finds, or look as if they were underwater for a long time, like the coins people throw in those fountains at malls. Either way its just gross.

Quote: So explain why the Dimes on cwr's ? Color blind ? Normally they are so dirty they look like pennnies if you dont pay attention to the coin design. Though I did get 1 shiny dime which was kinda weird...
