Another silver dime in a Lincoln Cent roll - it's hard to believe! Mine was found mixed in with a bunch of ash tray coins... It was so covered with soot - you couldnt make out it was a dime - much less a silver. But how does someone - even if he wants to fill out the roll and put a dime in - put SILVER in there - very strange...

BadThad - I think maybe those high grade MS coins you've been on the hunt for, (especially 83-89 are going to be worth a whole bunch in about 5 - 10 years.... probably more than even you figures today!

I know the FE cent stretches belief... I am going to have to get pics just to prove it to myself (as well as everyone else)...

I'm still mad at my sister (love her dearly, but) - if I found a 1909s VDB in MS65 - I don't think she'd even put the remote control down !

That's my belief. They are largely ignored by collectors, rapidly corroding and lost to attrition. It may take awhile, but my BU roll set should appreciate over time regardless of the high mintages. As I've said many times....the mintage doesn't matter if most of them are spotted, bubbled, MDS/LDS junk. The collectible coins will be the clean, non-bubbled, well-struck, EDS cents. They are more scare than most think.

Opened 4 boxes last night
Haven't sorted through them yet, just dumped them all into a tote will begin sorting over the next couple of nights. Picked out about a dozen or so wheats that were laying on top, nothing great.
Still no IHC

I was delighted to find this coin today. I was roll searching at work because things are so darn slow from the recession...

Went into the bank today to get a box of pennies and the teller say, "hey wait a minute, found something for you". She gave me another '43 steely. Love it when that happens. Gave it to my 17 yr. old son. He is taking an interest. He found a Buffalo nickel at work two days ago.

Nice find Ken!

Willy - Nice find on the 19-S! Hard to believe some of these older S mint coins are still in the wild.
