Great looking 55-S. I didn't find one for about two years 50 years ago. I've found a few since though. Congrats.

Are 55-S cents really that sought after? I managed to find one a couple of years ago roll-searching with a bit worn (but slightly toned) obverse and an red AU reverse. Other than the AU reverse, I didn't think it was a big deal when I found it.

I found a BU 55s a while ago, had more marks than that, though.

Stopped at one of my Credit Unions to get my weekly $20 in CWRs. Noticed a real SHINY "ender", and when I got home to really check it realized it was a 1968S. Cracked open the roll and there's a 1969S too! Why people are cracking open sets and then tossing these in a coin counter is a head scratcher for sure! Can't wait to open the other 39 rolls!

The 68-S looks like a proof! Not sure about the 69S given the pictures.

NICE FINDS!

Heck ya! They are low mintage of like 45M. If I remember, the lowest mintage wheat since the 1930's decade.

Thanks badthad. Coincidentally it was actually my first wheat I found in my first ever roll-search. Unfortunately that AU reverse toned ugly a bit from improper keeping (now have it safely in a 2x2). Still nice to know I'm lucky to have found one in the wild.
