It's hard to find a proof roll searching because they were only issued in proof sets and not intended for circulation.

I went through the other rolls I got yesterday and here are the results:

1969S-six
1968S- two
1905 Indian Head cent

I'm almost positive that the 69s & 68s are proofs. It's difficult to tell from my pics from previous post, but their luster and sharpness is just amazing. Gonna stop by again today and see how many more rolls they have. I'm the only guy who get's rolls from them, so hopefuly there's some more waiting for me!

How big is your image file? What error are you getting when it fails?

Whats up with these. Looks like Abe got the mumps. Looking through rolls I have come across similar ones, I know they are die related but are they worth keeping for any reason. The first 2 (1992) are a very light strike with a lot of "bubbling". The 1990 has so many "bubbles" it really odd looking. The 1995 has marks from the die that I have seen a lot more lately searching. Any thoughts or ideas. Thanks

They are zinc bubbles. Something about the copper layer not bonding well with the zinc core I think. A common problem among early zincs.

Jangofett, thanks. We've gone through about 300 rolls over the last month and it's amazing how bad the quality was in the late 80's and early 90's on these coins. We at least found a few "s" mints from the 60's so it wasn't a total skunk.

The thing is finding early red zincs without zinc bubbles, or any other problem.
