ive done about a box and a half in the last week and found just a couple of 50s wheaties and a pretty dicolored 2000 WAM not much else though. |

I have been reading about all the great finds in roll searching, so I thought I'd try it. I told hubby what I was doing and he said Ha!,you'll never find anything  He searched though the change bucket and found a silver quarter I searched 10 rolls of cents and found nada. Well, now it's on   2 50's and then stacked by decade 60, 70, 80, 90, 2000. Loose ones on the right are the shiniest 90's and 2000's I found no wheaties and no IHC  (I said to him sure people find them all the time- look pictures of them.) I'm really sure of what I'm doing though. I have sort of cobbled together a list from other posts here of what I guess I'm supposed to look for. Would finding an error only be worth this effort on a cent that is super shiney? RRC |

 RRC Be sure to look for the 1999 and 2000 WAMs and the 1992 CAM, shinny or not. It took me several boxes before I found an IHC, but they're out there! You never know what you'll find in a box of bank rolls! Keep us informed and don't be afraid to ask questions.  Again, |

thank you Merclover here is something I found, 1968S That is the one that's hard find, right? I have it with a 2010 that seems very shiney, would this be called a proof that people are finding in their rolls?  here's a better one of the 1968S I have desided to keep any wheaties I find - that seems logical, but what is behind keeping all the all copper LMC. They are worth 3 or 4 times face in metal value but how do you realize that worth? What are you all doing with your coins?  RRC |

RRC, yes that is the low mintage 1968-S we were just speaking of... yours looks to be in nice condition, nice find! And the 2010-D is just a nice strike you have, and in nice condition since it hasn't had much circulation... I keep all the nice ones I find because there aren't going to be many nice ones to be found in the wild soon, as all the zinc pennies don't hold up very well. Many here would just throw it back, but hey, it's never going to be worth less than a cent, and my thoughts are you can always throw it back later, and it is the first year of the shield design. And no, it's not a proof coin you have there... only S mint mark pennies are proof (after 1974), so it's easy to tell. |

just finished going through half a box and found 3 canadian ,a 1926 LWC and 2 56 LWC,not much else worth mentioning. |

What gives them that "woodie" look? Seem to find a lot of early 80's with these markings...like 80' and 81'.

As far back as you can go on LWC's and one of the coins I like the most to find from circulation ! 1909vdb     I picked $45 in cwr's and half way through found the coins above plus 14 wheaties , 45 more rolls to go when I come back from work ! Again : how I love to find a vdb because together with the king are the only 2 issues that Carrie the initials in the whole series . Edited by Ricardocody
